Hi! Great presentation. You bring up some good points. I did not think about the issue of students not having access to software and even wi fi outside of school. This may limit their knowledge of how to use certain applications. Also, lack of resources for schools is a big issue. The students at the school I am observing at now no longer have computer classes, so when they do have access to laptops once in a while they are not as comfortable using them.

Excellent video presentation. You make an excellent point about the parent connection. A lot of parents are unaware on how to use this technology to be able to help their students with assignments and many students do not even have the technology at home to be able to do the work. These students are only able to use these technologies during classtime and that is not enough.
ReplyDeleteThe parent connection is a great point! Parents are an integral part of our students' education. The access for students is also a big concern. Roy pointed out that lack of access is becoming the exception- I disagree. In my school, about 35% of students do have access outside of the school. We have to keep in mind that for a curriculum to work, it has to be accessible to EVERYONE.
